Fikri Fadzil – Founder of The Wknd, Kuala Lumpur
Fikri Fadzil is the founder of The Wknd, an organization that focuses on promoting Malaysian and Southeast Asian independent and alternative music. Started in 2008, The Wknd is involved in various aspects of the music industry, from its long standing live music video series, The Wknd Sessions, to hosting events and showcases across Malaysia. Fikri also performs under the moniker ‘Bayangan’, a neo-folk project where he released his debut album, ‘Bersendirian Berhad’ in 2018.
