The Sports Association of Sisaket Province is an organization established under the Sports Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2558 (2015). Its mission is to promote and support excellence in all aspects of sports, including professional sports, by identifying and developing athletes and sports personnel to achieve national success. The association also encourages and supports sports events and competitions to provide opportunities and experiences for athletes and sports personnel while contributing to economic value. Additionally, it has been the key organization initiating and organizing Thailand World Music Championships (TWMC), which has been held annually in Sisaket since 2015. TWMC is the largest marching band competition in Thailand and the first international marching band event in the country. It is sanctioned by the Asian Marching Band Confederation and certified by the World Marching Band Organization. The 2024 event featured participants from 21 countries competing in 6 categories and 33 classes, with venues spread throughout the city and 10 schools from Sisaket participating. This long-running event drives tangible impact on Sisaket’s music ecosystem. It inspires musical excellence in local youth while strengthening the community’s commitment to music education.
