Karl Lucente is a musician and filmmaker with over a decade of experience in the music scene. As one half of the electro-pop duo Mandaue Nights and co-founder of Filla Killa. His journey began in 2010, performing with bands like Honeydrop and Hey It’s Your Birthday, and he has since become involved with projects like Monopolice.

Karl’s journey extends beyond performing; he has been directing and shooting music videos for local artists since 2011. His portfolio includes work with notable acts such as Paul Pablo, reon, Sepia Times, Sansette, Shiela and the Insects, among others. Currently, Karl is channeling his passion for music into production, working bands such as School Girl Classic, Sansette and KRNA, also organizing event such as September Fever Music Fest.

His journey reflects the challenges and triumphs of being an indie artist in the ever-evolving Philippine music landscape, where creativity and perseverance are key to making an impact.

Filla Killa is an independent record label founded by the team behind Mandaue Nights. Initially launched as a consultancy and branding initiative, Filla Killa has grown into a vibrant platform for fostering community through events and artist development. The label proudly features a roster of talented artists, including SUGARKISS, IIICCCYYY, SöF, and Mandaue Nights. Among its flagship efforts is September Fever Music Fest, an annual event dedicated to bringing people together and spotlighting local talent. Filla Killa is also collaborating with Kara Angan on C2C (Coast-to-Coast), an independent music publication based in Cebu, Philippines.

WHAT I DO
