Born in Seoul and raised in Seattle, Howon has been involved in the music scene for more than 20 years. He co-founded Kyte, an artist services company providing booking, PR, promotion/production, and publishing services to artists, songwriters and government agencies.

He is also a festival director at the Busan International Rock Festival since 2019, curating international artists and help building its festival network around the world.

KYTE is a music agency based in Seoul servicing artist booking, PR & marketing, and music publishing. Being a faithful partner with Busan Rock Festival and Korea Spotlight in the last decade, we strive to strengthen and grow cultural exchange across the world.

WHAT I DO

  • I look for bands to perform at my shows (e.g. promoter, festival owner/curator, venue, etc.)
  • I help bands get booked for shows (e.g. booking agent, touring agent/manager, etc.)
  • I help bands sell their music (e.g. publishing, licensing, distribution, sync, ticketing, etc.)
  • I help promote bands to new audiences (e.g. journalist, PR agent, media, etc.)

As my role includes booking for large festival and exporting Korean music on behalf of Korean government, AND running a music publisher, I can work with artists on many levels.
