Memos To The Future
Co-Founder

Christian Petersen-Clausen was unhappy that after Covid-19 very few international artists were performing in China and so he and his partner Yoyo Sun decided to do something about that. Now, their company ‘Memos To The Future’ is a one-stop partner helping artists and labels connect with huge and passionate fanbase in China. Among others, they have worked with Toshiki Soejima, Nenashi, Mizuhashi Takashi, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and with labels such as Disk Union and Origami Productions. We are attending to actively look for more artists to do concerts in China with in 2025.

Christian is also a documentary film director who has worked extensively in China and beyond for outlets including Discovery Channel, ARTE, CCTV, SRF, VICE, Porsche and many more.

WHAT I DO

  • I look for bands to perform at my shows (e.g. promoter, festival owner/curator, venue, etc.)
  • I help promote bands to new audiences (e.g. journalist, PR agent, media, etc.)

Many artists and labels are aware that China is a huge market full of passionate music fans. But how do I go there? How does Chinese social media work? Is it all going to be of surprises and misunderstandings? This is what we solve. We are a one-stop-shop who handles everything an emerging artist or an established act needs to enter the Chinese market, have great concert experiences and connect with their fans. Because we are 50% Western and 50% Chinese and have worked in China and in the US and EU for decades we have been a reliable partner for the artists we choose to work with, something we are really proud of.
