CONFERENCE

BMC 2025’s conference consists of 4 types of activities:

Panel Discussions

Panel discussions are a cornerstone of the conference experience, bringing together industry experts and thought leaders to share insights, debate key issues, and explore solutions to common challenges. These dynamic conversations provide attendees with valuable perspectives and actionable takeaways, fostering dialogue that can drive the industry forward.

The music industry is vast and multifaceted, with diverse sectors, challenges, and opportunities. To ensure engaging and relevant discussions, we have curated panels featuring esteemed speakers who will share their expertise, experiences, and perspectives on topics that matter to both industry professionals and the public.

Speed Meetings

Speed meetings are structured, fast-paced networking sessions designed to facilitate quick and efficient introductions between participants. Similar to speed dating, attendees engage in short, timed conversations before rotating to the next person.

The goal of a speed meeting is not to provide a full introduction or backstory, but to get straight to the point—clearly stating what you do and what you’re looking for in a way that directly relates to what your counterpart can offer in return.

To make the most of these sessions, research who you’re meeting in advance, be concise, exchange business cards, and focus on establishing a connection. Deeper discussions can be followed up later through private meetings, email, or video calls.

Networking Activities

Networking doesn’t come naturally to everyone—especially in many Asian cultures, where extroversion isn’t the norm. Recognizing this, BMC has designed varied and accessible networking formats to help ease participants into meaningful interactions, regardless of their comfort level.

BMC offers a range of networking opportunities, including a dedicated open-floor networking area with experienced facilitators to guide conversations and help participants connect with the right people. For those who prefer a more relaxed approach, casual networking events and social gatherings provide a laid-back atmosphere where organic connections can develop naturally.

Whether structured or informal, these options ensure that all attendees—regardless of personality or experience—can engage, collaborate, and build lasting industry relationships.

Festival & Business Pitching

A dedicated stage with large screens will be provided for participants to showcase their work, company, or organization, creating opportunities to attract potential collaborators and business partners. Following their pitch, presenters can continue discussions and build connections in the adjacent open-floor networking space.

With each pitching slot limited to 10 minutes, presenters should deliver a concise and impactful presentation that clearly communicates their products, services, or expertise—whether it’s a music festival, record label, artist booking agency, music publishing company, or other industry-related business.

To maximize impact, pitches should end with a strong closing statement, clearly outlining who they are looking to work with and for what purpose, ensuring a focused and effective call to action.
