Biography
MARI is three best friends from different parts of the world who met through unlikely circumstances to form a band. The trio blends modern sound design with old-school synthesis to convey stimulating thoughts and emotions experienced universally; may it be sorrow, nostalgia or ecstasy. Their musical style derives a lot of the indie pop melodies. While a lot of indie pop has strange song structures, MARI tries to keep it a bit more radio friendly in the way they arrange the songs.
Inspired by modern day sound design (ie. Joji, The 1975, The Naked & Famous), Mari looks to bring it’s own spin to the new wave of music trends.
Bangkok-born, Kansas-raised and half Filipino blood, Justin fronts the band as the lead singer and songwriter. His previous solo career has garnered hundreds of millions of streams and fans across Asia.
